We had 3 short walks today, going from west (wet) to east (drier) side of Torres del Paine National Park. George our mountain guide was excellent as we have become acustomed to on this excellent adventue from Aurora Expeditions.
We started the first walk at the Serrano entrance, then walked to the Cuernos lookout. Our 2nd walk was a very steep and windy climb to Condor lookout folliwed by an alternate return on a gentler way down before lunch at Pehoe hosteleria, out on an island 100m out into a lake. This was the first established hotel in the area and very nice, offering fantastic views.
Our third walk for the day after a short mini-bus drive, took us past Golg lagoon to view indigenous art.
We finished the day with a drive to Las Torres Hotel for dinner and a two night stay. We saw families of Guanacos (a smaller relative of Lamas) along the way.
