Day 7 - 19th December

Curtiss Bay 64.0235°S, 60.777°W.
Hump back whale and Minke whale spotted. Crabeater seal. About half of the 54 passengers did the Polar Plunge into the sea at 1°C.
Zodiac cruise stound the bay. Young Leopard seal. Our 2 skiiers racing down an icy  mountain. Ice bergs and Glaciers were wonderful. Oxygen was popping loudly from the ice as we cruised past. Landing on Hydrurga rocks, east of Two Hummock Island. Medium bull elephant seal, leopard and weddell seals, chinstrap penguins, Snowy Sheathbill. Very slippery with snow on rocks, deep snow. Back on board, found out Gina and Ian had gotten married this afternoon. After dinner 2 humpbacks feeding and breaching right in front of ship. Sunny blue skies and calm conditions from mid morning on. More whale viewing a bit later, 10 nearby, (actually 30 seen and technical term is 'bubble netting').
